Without Twitter – In Business – You’re Dead!

You can do many different things on Twitter. But the savvy guys use it for just a couple. I’m going to be sharing those two specific and profitable strategies on Friday 25th May. This will be the last ever workshop for ‘just anyone’ who wants to come along. After that, ALL my work will be by invitation only. Basically, I don’t want to work with fools any more! Quality not Quantity is the New Paradigm for the 21st Century … http://ow.ly/aJTje

“The biggest thing I took away from yesterday was the decision to have fun with networking and to enjoy it. To date I’ve been too wooden and a little scared by it all – what’s the point in that! So a big thank you to you for my eureka moment.”

Had an email from a client today asking about the  difference between the benefits of one on one with QJ and coming to the Seminars.

Here’s my explanation in case you’re interested:

Our one on one work is deeper and very specific. It is the only way to solve the issues you have around not getting hired, not being clearly known for who you really are and the true talents that you undeniably have.

It is also the only way that we give you ‘the script’ that will differentiate you from your competition and lead you to where you really want to be in your career (and possibly your life!)

The seminars are specifically teaching interpersonal skills and behaviours that will get other people’s attention for you, and how to get people to like you, trust you, remember you and position you. The seminars then go on to teach you specific ‘sales techniques’, but techniques for guys who don’t want to appear salesy and possibly feel uncomfortable ‘selling’.

This one is more about turning your natural passions and enthusiasm into people wanting to get their hands on your expertise, etc.

I hope that this gives you a sufficiently clear explanation.

Do ask more questions if you need to.

Recommendation received this week

Dear QJ,
I’ve written this recommendation of your work to share with other LinkedIn users.

Details of the Recommendation:

“I’ve read the management, leadership and personal development books that tell you what to do to be successful – just look at my bookshelf! I’ve even bought the ‘workbook’ versions that tell you how to do it. Yet still I do not do the things I ‘should’ be doing to be successful.
QJ does three things:

  1. He adds that ‘twist of lemon’, that je ne c’est quoi, that brings good practice to life
  2. He makes you do things, not just talk about them, but do them
  3. He inspires you to both commit, and to hold you accountable to yourself for your actions

I find this combination, well, inspirational!”

Henry’s book a big hit for youth

(Just received this email)

Hi QJ,
I need to get 6 more copies of Henry’s book (Spend Four Hours in a Telephone Box) for some young people I’m working with in a youth centre.
One is for Patrick, who has very high innate intelligence but doesn’t read much – The Sun on a good day – and limited vocabulary, which he’s dedicated to improving and he has great potential.
Yesterday he immediately identified with some of the passages in the ‘Telephone Box.’ His enthusiasm for the content rushed him to the photocopier and he took away several chapters. Revolutionary! The book is a real eye opener for Patrick and to enthuse him more I’d like to get him a signed copy and use the book as a learning aid.
